Betty Keast has enjoyed teaching for 40 years, and she has been at LBCC for 22 years; 14 years full-time and 8 years as adjunct faculty. Before joining the LBCC faculty, she taught at occupational, adult, and secondary schools. Betty has created interactive tutorials and videos for Microsoft Excel and the Windows operating system that are used in the self-paced classrooms at LAC.

Mark Matsui | mmatsui@lbcc.edu

Mark Matsui has served as the Coordinator of the Disabled Students Programs & Services department since 1991. The ten years prior to his arrival at LBCC he held two different positions at California State University Dominguez Hills. He served as the Coordinator of Disabled Student Services and Veterans' Affairs before becoming the Director of Student Programs and Housing. Mark has also been a Vice President in the California Association for Postsecondary Education and Disability since 1998 and on the Board of Directors for Disabled Resources Center, Inc. in Long Beach since 1991. He uses a float tube for fishing and has enjoyed snow skiing since beginning at the age of four.

Allison Brown

Ladera Rosenberg | lrosenberg@lbcc.edu

Ladera Rosenberg has been teaching since January 1997 and has been a full time instructor in the Mathematics Department since Fall 2000. She previously worked on a PFE (Partnership for Excellence) that was a study skills class for disabled students.

Jamie Kravitz - original project designer / developer

Jamie Kravitz is a media specialist with expertise in video production, web-video integration, Flash/multimedia design and database-driven website creation. He is also a national award-winning documentary filmmaker whose most recent film "Into the Streets" has shown in numerous international film festivals. Jamie has gone on to get his Master's Degree in Human Factors.

Monika Mravec is an educational technologist/multimedia programmer for LRTT since 1997. She has helped to create numerous courseware applications using Macromedia Authorware, Adobe Photoshop and Sound Edit.

Annette Owens is a distance learning program specialist who has joined the DARE team in the institutionalization phase of the project, and is assisting with the external dissemination efforts.
